He married Alice Hood 10 July 1907.3 kids Horace 16/03/08. Eric 11/09/1910, Cyril 25/03/1914. He wed at St. Matthews church, they lived at 116 Clumber ST Hull . 33 years of age and 5 feet 11 inches tall he signed up Dec 9th 1915 at Hull. By November 1916 he was a first class signaller. 30th March he was a bombardier then corporal. Widow Alice received 27s/6d a week from April 1918. 1901 census the family are living at 4 Blenheim Street Hull .
Parents lived at 225 Marlborough Ave, Hull father Wm, was an Indian mutiny veteran, and worked for Hull corporation, in the city engineers department. His mother was Fanny Maria Charles, two sisters Alice Graville age 39 living with parents and Emma Elizabeth Frankland living in Leeds.
